The DTX- MULTI 12 features 12 trigger pads in a compact, split-level configuration, and includes 1,277 drum, percussion, and effects sounds. Check out its MULTIple personalities… tap it, whack it, or slap it!

Staying on the subject of new things… let me introduce myself. My name is Bob Terry and I am the new Marketing Manager for DTX drums. I came to Yamaha in April of 2009 and since then I have been working behind the scenes getting ready for a whole new electronic drums program: new look, new products, and new website.

I am a professional drummer and I have been playing for more years than I would like to admit. Luckily, I have really smart people that help me with all the new items, one being “Tom-Tom,” who should already be familiar with regular visitors to the forums.

I am also surrounded by a great team of Music Production guys here at Yamaha, who know more about MIDI, sampling, and voice programming than I’ll ever know. No, what I know about is playing drums: acoustic drums, electronic drums and percussion. My goal has always been to play what sounds good and feels good. This is what I am all about and I bet you’re working towards the same goal.

We all want equipment that sounds good and feels good to play, right? I come from the drummer’s perspective and point of view and I want to hear YOUR perspectives and points of view as well. I will be posting on the forums as we move forward and would love to hear from you. Keep Tom-Tom on your radar for the main technical stuff and I will do my best on everything else.
