About Us
KEYFAX NewMedia, the company who runs DTXPERIENCE.COM, is an authorized Yamaha Accessories dealer. We carry a wide range of official Yamaha electronic drum accessories, along with a wide range of third party products such as SmartMedia Cards, books, and DVDs, to custom content produced right here at our studios in Santa Cruz, California.
What’s in the DTX Store?
1. Exclusive Products: These include some of the Sample/Kit/Voice, and MIDI/Groove/Song libraries produced by KEYFAX and made exclusively for DTX series products. As producer of the Twiddly.Bits MIDI Sample libraries you will almost certainly find this is the ‘best place’ to purchase, especially with the many Bundle and Special deals we have on offer.
2. Yamaha Accessories: Items include pads, pedals, cables, and hardware specifically made for the DTXTREME IIs and DTXPRESS III/s kits. Everything here is 100% guaranteed to fit/work/be to your satisfaction. If it isn’t, return it for full credit or money back. While many of these items can also be found at music stores, we specialize in these accessories, so we know what they are and how they work. Finally, if an item is listed here it will be IN STOCK unless specifically flagged as temporarily on backorder. Need a new cymbal pad Next Day-ed to your hotel? No problem.
3. General Accessories: Items include music technology books and videos, SmartMedia cards, specialist electronic kit sticks and much more. While we are not trying to compete with theabsolutelymostrockbottompriceyou’veeverheardof.com we offer these general accessories at the best prices we can find. Plus, as with our Yamaha Accessories division, we understand and use these products and we keep them in stock.
*Yamaha branded hardware and accessories can only be sold within the U.S. All other products can be sold and shipped Worldwide.

We ship Mon-Fri , Pacific Time in the USA. If your order is received within this time period it will normally be dispatched within one business day unless we contact you in advance.
When you go to CHECKOUT we give you the best range of automated shipping options, from Next Day UPS to US Mail, to download (where appropriate) – i.e. no shipping charges at all for download orders!

If you have a Fed Ex account we can also ship Fed Ex, but we do not offer a user-selectable Fed Ex service. Please contact orders@keyfax.com to request this service.
International Shipping
We have chosen USPS (US Postal Service) as our Automatic International Shipping module since this is the ‘best price’ option. However, it is our current policy to ship all international orders with a value of more than $100 via UPS only. This is due to a high number of lost, stolen, and heavily delayed packages in the USPS system. If you would like a shipping quote before your purchase, please contact orders@keyfax.com with a list of the items you would like along with your address. We will then contact you with a quote.
How do the downloads work?
Downloading is the quickest, and most cost-effective way of buying certain items on the DTX Store. It is also extremely simple. Here’s how it works:
Items that can be downloaded contain a DOWNLOAD option that you will see as soon as you add the item to your Basket. If you do not see a DOWNLOAD option we do not offer the item for download. (We’re sure you appreciate how difficult it is to download a keyboard stand, but books and DVDs ‘could’ at least in theory be downloadable but we do not yet offer this facility).
Downloadable items include:
* Programmed Kits (that use existing Wave ROM)
* Patterns / Beats / Songs
* MIDI Samples
* OS and general DTX patch/instrument data
Select a product’s DOWNLOAD option and choose “Download Only” in the “Ship Via” drop-down box.
Along with confirmation that your order has been successfully processed you will be given a URL where you may go to download your order. This is simply a temporary URL for immediate use. It will only be displayed for 5 minutes.
You will also be sent an email confirmation of your order and this will contain a second URL that you may use for up to 72 hours to pick up your order.
If for any reason you are not able to pick up your order using either of these methods, email orders@keyfax.com and we will send the order to you direct by email.
What’s in a Download?
All downloads are delivered in a .zip file that can be opened on a Mac or PC by double clicking on it. If WinZip is not already installed on your computer this may be downloaded free of charge at http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm.
Inside the .zip you will find the product itself, plus a PDF manual.
Security
KEYFAX NewMedia protects your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software (Thwate) that encrypts the information you input. For visual verification you will see the ‘lock’ icon upon Checkout and you will see that you are in our secure area (https://secure.keyfax.com) during this time. Your details WILL NOT be made available to any other company than KEYFAX NewMedia.
