Drums in church: a recipe for delight or disaster!
Church sound systems – and indeed the spaces themselves – are
acoustically slanted to the human voice, the message. And that’s
how it should be.
So how does the musician deliver a musical message that’s
powerful not overpowering ?
The DTXPRESS IV provides you with some excellent solutions. Most obviously,
as an electronic kit there is little or no acoustic noise coming off
the pads. Plus you have complete control over your sounds – both
the individual pads, and the kit as a whole.

Playing in church doesn’t only require top quality drum
sounds; you may need to punctuate using orchestral percussion (timps,
bells, etc.). In addition to the regular kits (newly sampled!) you
have masses of percussion instruments, plus sound effects – should
you really need to wake up the congregation at some stage!
Although the DTXPRESS IV has full-size cymbal pads, and is sturdy as
a rock to play, it can be both assembled and broken down in a few minutes,
or simply picked up en masse and stored in an adjoining room
or storage area.
- Inspirational sounds
