Even in your own project studio time is money, and one of the most time-consuming studio tasks has always been "getting" the drum sound. You probably don't need reminding about the number of variables, but from drum tuning to choice of mics to mic placement to balance, this stage of recording has never been "plug and play."

Well, actually, now it pretty much can be. The DTXTREME IIS has six individual outputs for separate pad/instrument processing and balancing. There is obviously no need for mics or placement at all and no need to fret over room acoustics or individual drum tuning.

With the DTXTREME IIS, you can set up and tweak all of your sounds long before you start recording for real. Simply set up the kit in the studio (or the control room, if you want to be friendly), take as many line outs as you need, and you're good to go.

The DTXTREME IIS has thousands of instrument/voices to choose from (2171 to be precise), including a host of world percussion sounds, should you be doubling up on both kit and percussion. And of course if you need custom sounds (a vintage snare you've had since high school, special African drums recorded on location, etc.), then the DTXTREME IIS lets you load in samples from SmartMedia™ card.

Smart. Plus, if you want to get really clever, you can even step through kits in real time using a footswitch as the tracks go down.
